We know from references found in Nottinghamshire newspapers that a cricket match was played in Farnsfield in June 1817, and Farnsfield Cricket Club was born. It moved to the ground it now occupies in 1862 and in 2012 celebrated its 150th anniversary. The acquisition of the nearby Edingley Cricket Pitch in 2013 enables all three Saturday teams to be play at home grounds for their home fixtures. The club are fortunate to have three senior teams playing on a Saturday and are able to offer many opportunities for our players of all abilities and ages.
